INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Pacers’ guard Gerald Green and forward Paul George will take part in All-Star Saturday Night during the NBA’s All-Star Weekend in Houston.

Green will compete in the Slam Dunk Contest, while George will be a participant in the Three-Point Contest.

Green will become the seventh Pacers’ player to participate in the event.  He won the event in 2007 in Las Vegas, while finishing second to Dwight Howard in 2008 in New Orleans.

Green will dunk against Toronto’s Terrance Ross, New York’s James White, Los Angeles’ Eric Bledsoe, Utah’s Jeremy Evans and Denver’s Kenneth Faried.

“It’s an honor to represent the Pacers and Indiana and it’s also great to be trying to win it not only again, but this time in my hometown of Houston,” said Green. “I think it’s exciting for the Pacers that this is another way to recognize our team and the year we’re having.”

George will be the third Pacers’ player to compete in the Three-Point Content.

He’ll go up against New Orleans’ Ryan Anderson, San Antonio’s Matt Bonner, Golden State’s Stephen Curry, Cleveland’s Kyrie Irving and New York’s Steve Novak.

“I think it will be a lot of fun and I’m looking forward to it,” said George. “Unlike the dunk contest, this is all on you. No judges, just make shots.”

George will also play in the All-Star game on Sunday as a reserve on the Eastern Conference team.  It’s his first All-Star selection after participating in the Rising Stars Challenge and Slam Dunk Contest last year in Orlando.

NBA All-Star Weekend will take place Feb. 15 through 17.
