INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Head coach Frank Vogel will be with the Indiana Pacers even longer.
Team officials announced on Monday that they signed a contract extension with the coach. Terms weren’t revealed.
Vogel was promoted to head coach in January 2011 — mid-season — and impressed Pacers officials enough that they kept him on as head coach.
The Pacers have a 62-38 record this season. Last season Vogel led the team to the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
"Frank has done a great job turning our team around since he became coach and deserves the chance to continue the work he and his staff have started,” Pacers President of Basketball Operations Donnie Walsh said in a news release.
