ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) - Indiana Pacers forward and former University of New Mexico Lobo standout Danny Granger answered a variety of questions posed by participants of Lobo Skills Camp.
One of the questions dealt with how much money the All-Star makes. Granger's answer was $12 million a year.
Granger is heading into his fifth season in the league, and he said he impressed himself by earning the title of the NBA's Most Improved Player.
Last year, he finished fifth in the league in scoring, and has also been invited to the USA Olympic Team Training Camp. But no matter how bright Granger's star shines, he believes there is always time for fans.
"Yeah I'm going to always come back and talk to kids. Even when I'm retired I'm going to have a story to tell about this or that," Granger said. "I think the important thing is that kids really listen."
The kids weren't the only ones impressed with Granger's appearance in Albuquerque.
"He's just been tremendous in everything he's done. From donations to the new Pit, to coming back and spending time with the kids, he really understands what it means, I think, to be a pro," Lobo Head Coach Steve Alford said.
Granger will host a basketball camp at Eldorado High School July 27-30.
