Now hiring: Super Bowl security jobs

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - S.A.F.E. Management is planning to hire up to 3,000 security staff to assist police with Super Bowl security in the Circle City.

Around 250 people were hired Thursday, and many more interviews are scheduled.

S.A.F.E. is filling two different positions: guest services and security.

Guest services positions include ticket takers, ushers and greeters.

The positions are for game day only, and some pay as low as $9.50 an hour.

Some folks who applied, though, said the job is about the experience, not the money.

“It’s going to be so amazing to tell people, 'I worked at the Super Bowl,'"said newly hired guest services employee Ashley Stanford.

Another new hire, Rahvy Murray, said he’s excited to be a part of the security team for Indianapolis.

“Really I just want to be a part of this event,” Murray said. “This is big for the city.”

Murray will make $11 an hour for the big day and the weeks leading to it, including working as security for construction around the stadium and any entertainment events before the game.

S.A.F.E. employees are the non-gun carrying security alongside the departments that do carry, including local police, ICE, DHS and even the bomb squad.

NFL rules prohibit S.A.F.E. management from talking to the media or sharing how they train staff.

If you're interested in one of these jobs and missed Thursday’s interviews, there is still time to apply. To set up an interview, call 317-602-5313.
