FORT LAUDERDALE (WISH) - The NFL's Saturday night concerts on Fort Lauderdale Beach got started around 6 p.m. with Robert Randolph and the Family Band.
Barenaked Ladies is set to start at 7 p.m. followed by O.A.R. at eight o'clock. A fireworks show is scheduled for 9:40.
For fans of both Super Bowl teams, but at least one of the performers is definitely pulling for the Colts.
Marc Roberge, the lead singer from Of A Revolution (O.A.R.) is a Redskins fan but his team failed to make the playoffs this season.
So, he's letting family ties dictate his pick.
Roberge said, "This year I just want a good game. My grandma, who lives in Indianapolis, and has been there almost her whole life. She's 90 years old. Mary, if you're watching, I'm pulling for your boy Peyton! Cause she just wants to see the boy win."
Roberge is originally from Maryland, but says he bears none of the ill-will toward the Colts felt by many others in his home state. He also says he's never become a Ravens fan, preferring instead to stick with Washington.
