INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - WISH-TV Sports Director Anthony “AC” Calhoun was one of the first people to take a ride on the Super Bowl Village zip line.
Here's what he had to say about the experience:
The zip line is one of the hottest attractions among the Super Bowl festivities in downtown Indianapolis. It’s seven stories high and 800 feet long, and Friday afternoon I had the chance to check it out.
It's only $10 per ride, but get this: the Super Bowl Host Committee said they are actually taking a loss on what it costs to operate the attraction. Spokeswoman Dianna Boyce said it was important to the committee to keep the experience affordable so that everyone could enjoy it.
The toughest part - at least I thought at the time - was climbing up all those stairs to get to the top. In reality, the toughest part was taking that third step off into the air at Super Bowl Village.
Click play in the video player above to find out why he said it’s a must-do event.
Some tickets were sold ahead of time, but they are also available at the Super Bowl Village. They sold out within a few hours Friday evening, however, so get in line early if you want to experience the ride.
