Celebs converge at Indy SB parties

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Celebrities and well-known athletes were all around Indianapolis Saturday night as the city prepared to put on its first Super Bowl.

The NFL hosted its inaugural NFL Honors event Saturday night at the Murat Theatre at Old National Centre. Athletes and other well-known people attended the ceremony hosted by actor Alec Baldwin.

Parties were also happening throughout the city.

Maxim hosted a party at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. Celebrity chef Guy Fieri stopped by to talk to 24-Hour News 8 reporter Teresa Mackin about what he thinks of Indianapolis. Former Colts player Tony Siragusa and Top Chef judge Tom Colicchio also spoke about their time in Indy. Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay talked about how Indy has done hosting Super Bowl festivities.

“Twlight” star Nikki Reed spoke before heading into the Maxim Party , as did Green Bay Packers wide receiver Greg Jennings .

The Rolling Stone party brought out bands and celebrities at Crane Bay, and the Leather and Laces party drew other stars.

Meanwhile, sightings of famous people continued at St. Elmo Steak House, where Michael Douglas was among the people at the restaurant Saturday night.
