INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Over eight days of Super Bowl festivities, Indiana State Excise Police issues 218 citations, primarily related to underage drinking.
Excise Police officials released the information about their citations on Monday. They tracked citations handed out in Lucas Oil Stadium, the Convention Center and Super Bowl Village from Jan. 29 through Sunday.
The largest area of citations was for the illegal possession or consumption of alcohol by minors. Officers cited 120 people. The next highest number of citations was for juveniles in possession of tobacco; 35 were cited.
Officers were in plainclothes while patrolling the areas.
Following is a list of all 218 violations:
120: Illegal possession or consumption of alcoholic beverages
35: Juvenile possession of tobacco
18: Furnishing or providing alcohol to a minor
11: Possession of false ID
10: Possession of marijuana
10: Public intoxication
7: False informing
2: Disorderly conduct
2: Minor in tavern
1: Resisting law enforcement
1: Sale of alcoholic beverages without permit
1: Furnishing tobacco to a juvenile
