The winner of a KFC contest donated part of his winnings to an Indianapolis hospital, restaurant officials said Monday.

Indianapolis resident Joel Markland won a contest on Twitter to get a catered party with former NFL tight end Shannon Sharpe and cash.

KFC officials say Markland responded to why he wanted Sharpe at his party to watch the Super Bowl. After winning, he donated his $10,000 in prize money to the Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital at St. Vincent.

Markland did have a party catered by KFC. He invited family, friends, staff and former patients of the hospital.
