INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Sunday, the Manning family took home their third Super Bowl in the town middle brother, Peyton, put on the football map.

Eli Manning turned in an MVP performance as his New York Giants defeated the New England Patriots, 21 to 17, at Lucas Oil Stadium. Manning finished 30 of 40 for 296 yards and one touchdown pass, leading a game-winning touchdown drive in the final minutes.

"Olivia and I kind of looked at each other this week and asked what's going on here?" Archie Manning - father of both Eli and Peyton, the Colts superstar quarterback - told 24-Hour News 8 Sports Director Anthony Calhoun. "Four times in six years as parents, we've been able to come to this game. And for the Giants to win a second one tonight in the fashion they did, beating a great team, a great coach, a great quarterback, it's really special."

Older brother Cooper Manning was also in the house.

"I'm real proud of Eli and the whole team," he said. "I got to know those guys pretty well. It's a group that really cares about each other, and it showed in the fourth quarter."

Cooper Manning told 24-Hour News 8 reporter Chris Widlic that Peyton Manning was not at the game, because he was superstitious. Both Archie and Cooper agreed that the win for Eli in Indianapolis made it extra special.

"We've had a lot of big games in Indianapolis and some big ones in this dome, so we know the terrain", Cooper said. "It's kind of like coming home a little bit. It was special. The people of Indianapolis rolled out the red carpet for everybody, and they've been great to the Manning family, and everybody was great tonight."
