INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - In the Super Bowl there's only one winner and one loser. But when it comes to business, there are many.
Consider Scotty’s Brew house a Giant.
“In our kitchen we experience two to three hours of dinner rush, but this week has been an entire day of a rush, “Aaron Mitchell said. “We broke sales records for the company and this store.”
On Super Sunday, according to Foursquare, a smartphone app that lets people keep track of where they’ve been – and let friends know too - Scotty’s and Kilroy’s ranked in the top three location “check-ins” in the nation.
But, while Scotty's scored big, establishments just blocks away fumbled.
That was the case for the team at El Arado Mexican Grill in Fountain Square.
“We knew the Super Bowl was coming so … we prepared two liters of extra food,” Erik Cuatlacuatl said.
Cuatlacuatl, who helps prepare food at his uncle’s establishment, said when the extra business didn’t materialize as they had expected, they were forced to toss the surplus of food.
“It went to waste,” he said.
In the heart of Super Bowl Village, LIDS nearly ran out of merchandise.
Shelves that were once stuffed are now empty.
Indeed, big business means big bucks. But in every game not everyone comes out on top.
Despite that, all agree team Indy walked away a winner.
