Zip line draws raves in Super Bowl Village

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - One of the most popular attractions in the Super Bowl Village is proving to be the zipline.

Even late Friday night, there were still people in line waiting for their chance to get a bird’s eye view of Georgia Street.

Officials stopped selling tickets at 6 o'clock Friday night because available spots had filled up.

Minutes after tickets went on sale, hundreds of people were already in line. Some people waited for hours to experience the thrill.

"I'm ready. I'm excited. Never done it before. Nope first time," said Jessica Schriner, Indianapolis.

Those who did get to ride said it was worth the wait.

"To finally just get to do it was the best! We loved it!" said Kaylin Dedinsky, Indianapolis.

Dedinsky and her friend Emily Rogers-Kline pre-purchased tickets online. Those tickets sold out long before the Village officially opened. And although Dedinsky and Rogers-Kline were ahead of the pack with their purchases, they still had to wait an hour in line to make the trip down the wire.

"It was amazing! Oh my gosh! It was so scary," Dedinsky said.

Margaret Winkler, Broad Ripple agreed with that assessment, but she said it was something she had to do.

"It was like getting in a lot of mischief and a lot of fun too, and it's something that I never done before; only in my dreams," she said.

Tickets cost $10, and they’ve been selling out early in the evening – so if you’re interested, get in line early.
