INDOT: I-70 resurfacing closes ramps

PUTNAM COUNTY, Ind. (INDOT) - The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announces the resurfacing project on I-70 will close the ramps at US 231 over the next few days to mill and resurface the ramps.

Crews plan the following schedule for closures:

· 8/22 6 p.m.- 4 p.m. on 8/23 Eastbound I-70 off ramp to US 231
· 8/23 6 p.m. - 11 a.m. on 8/24 US 231 on ramp to eastbound I-70
· 8/25 7 a.m. - 8 p.m. Eastbound I-70 off ramp to US 231
· 8/27 8:30 a.m. - 6 a.m. on 8/28 US 231 on ramp to eastbound I-70

This project on I-70 will resurface the interstate from US 231 to Little Point. This project was awarded to Rieth-Riley Construction for $10.49 million. This project is scheduled for completion in November of this year.

The work schedule is subject to change in the event of inclement weather. INDOT reminds drivers to use caution and consider worker safety when driving through a construction zone.
