DANVILLE, Ind. (AP) - Motorists traveling along Interstate 70 west of Indianapolis could encounter some complications starting this week as a monthslong highway upgrade gets under way.
State highway officials say that starting Thursday road crews are set to begin resurfacing a section of Interstate 70 west of Indianapolis. The Indiana Department of Transportation says the work will be done on I-70 from just west of State Road 39 to just west of State Road 267.
The agency says there will be 11-foot lane restrictions on the interstate in the area the contractor will be working. The project was awarded to Rieth-Riley Construction Co. of Indianapolis for $7.7 million.
The road work is scheduled for completion by Nov. 15.
