HENDRICKS COUNTY, Ind. (INDOT) - The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announced State Road 267 (S.R. 267) will close at the railroad tracks south of US 36 on Monday, July 16 for railroad repairs and resurface work. CSX Railroad will be working on the crossing. S.R. 267 is scheduled to reopen on Friday, July 28.
The official detour follows S.R.267 north to US 36 east to I-465 south to US 40 west and then back to S.R. 267. Traffic traveling in the opposite direction will use the same detour in reverse.
INDOT reminds motorists to follow the posted work zone speed limit, use caution and consider worker safety when traveling through a construction zone.
