INDIANAPOLIS (INDOT) - Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) contractors will reroute traffic on Interstate 465 Tuesday night and Wednesday night at Allisonville Road. Walsh Construction, the state’s prime contractor for the $19 million bridge and interchange reconstruction, began installing steel beams for the new bridge last week and will install deck pans and overhangs this week.

Beginning Tuesday at 9 p.m., the left lane of eastbound and westbound I-465 will be restricted. At 10 p.m., I-465 westbound will be directed to exit and re-enter the interstate via the Allisonville Road ramps. I-465 eastbound will be diverted to the ramps at 11 p.m. All I-465 traffic will be returned to its normal pattern by 6 a.m. Wednesday. The restriction and traffic pattern will repeat Wednesday night and return to normal by 6 a.m. Thursday morning.
