INDIANAPOLIS (INDOT) - The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) will permit Indianapolis Power and Light (IP&L) to temporarily close Interstate 70 on the far east side on Sunday, July 1.
The Indiana State Police will stop traffic on I-70 in both directions as IP&L crosses the interstate with aerial fiber optic cables at Franklin Road and German Church Road. Traffic will be stopped sometime between 6:30 and 8:00 a.m. The permit allows for stoppages up to 20 minutes; however, these events are typically expected to last only a few minutes.
