BOONE COUNTY, Ind. (INDOT) - The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announce 20 minute lane closures will begin tonight on I-65 in Boone County. Crews with Milestone Contractors, L.P. will be demolishing the remaining portion of the CSX Railroad Bridge between the hours of 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. This bridge is located between State Road 32 and State Road 39 in Boone County. The next closures will begin Monday, July 2 and then again after the July 4th Holiday on Thursday through Saturday night. INDOT will allow traffic to clear out before stopping motorists again. Police officers will be assisting INDOT and Milestone with the closures on I-65.
Milestone Contractors, L.P. was awarded the $7.26 million Major Moves project to replace the CSX Railroad Bridge over I-65. This project is scheduled to be completed in August of this year.

Major Moves capitalizes on Indiana’s strategic location at the Crossroads of America by building a superior road infrastructure. This innovative plan will bring jobs to the Hoosier State and leave a legacy for Indiana to be a global leader in distribution and logistics.
