WESTFIELD, Ind. (INDOT) - Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) contractors will restrict US 31 traffic lanes at Greyhound Pass in Westfield for milling and paving of the intersection during overnight hours beginning Wednesday, Nov. 7, at 9 p.m.

Crews will temporarily restrict one lane of US 31 traffic at a time at the intersection. All restrictions are expected to end by 6 a.m. Thursday. The operation is expected to resume Thursday and Friday nights as crews pave temporary asphalt to provide a smooth transition from old to new pavement through the winter.

Crews will also require short-term, alternating lane restrictions of less than 20 minutes at various locations on both directions of US 31 between I-465 and 136th Street and between 146th and 202nd Streets. These temporary restrictions will begin Thursday at 9 p.m. and are expected to end before 6 a.m. Friday. If necessary, the operation may continue Friday night as crews take core samples along the highway in preparation for future construction.
