INDIANAPOLIS (INDOT) - Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) contractors will restrict traffic lanes on I-465 on the city’s northeast side during overnight hours this week.

Walsh Construction, the state’s contractor, will restrict the left lane of I-465 in both directions between I-69 and Allisonville Road beginning tonight at 9 p.m. The lane restrictions are expected to be lifted before 6 a.m. Wednesday and repeat each night through Saturday morning.

Walsh and its subcontractors are removing uneven pavement and reconstructing the left lane of westbound I-465. Three westbound lanes of I-465 are temporarily shifted to the right between I-69 and Allisonville Road. The ramp from southbound I-69 to westbound I-465 is temporarily reduced to a single lane that merges with the right lane of westbound I-465. Both directions of I-465 will be reduced to two lanes during the nighttime operations.

Northbound Allisonville Road will also have a right lane restriction tonight between I-465 and 86th Street from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. for utility work.
