Eastside I-465 backup lingers after semi rolls

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - An overturned semitrailer blocked several lanes of Interstate 465 Wednesday afternoon, and though it was cleaned up by rush hour, the traffic backup remained.

According to the Indiana Department of Transportation, the left four lanes of southbound I-465 were closed near Interstate 70 for several hours Tuesday afternoon. Traffic was stopped all the way back to Interstate 69, according to INDOT, and as of 5:15 p.m., that backup remained.

Indiana State Police officials said only minor injuries were reported, but it took a while for crews to turn the semi upright.
