GREENFIELD, Ind. (WISH) - Two people were injured when an semitrailer overturned and crashed in Hancock County, closing westbound lanes of Interstate 70 for about an hour Thursday morning.
The incident was at Ind. 9 at around 7:45 a.m. and lanes were re-opened by 9 a.m. A woman was westbound on I-70 when she swerved to try to avoid a deer. She was unsuccessful, striking the deer.
A semitrailer behind the woman swerved, losing control and flipping. The truck scattered its load.
The woman was taken by medical helicopter to Methodist Hospital and the driver of the semitrailer was taken to Hancock Regional Hospital.
