SEYMOUR, Ind. (WISH) - Police say a pursuit on Interstate 65 Thursday night ended in a crash near Columbus and closed interstate lanes.

The chase started around 8:45 p.m. at mile marker 51 near Seymour. It ended in a crash at the 60 mile marker near the U.S. 31 exit near Columbus.

The pursuit involved a motorist driving a stolen vehicle, a conservation officer and an Indiana State Police trooper.

Police say the vehicle was stolen out of Jennings County. The conservation officer spotted the car in the Seymour area. The motorist then fled.

The driver tried to cut across the median and ended up in the southbound lanes, where officers were able to stop him.

The southbound lanes of I-65 were reported closed shortly before 10 p.m.

There is no word on injuries.
