INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Storms are popping up across Central Indiana prompting Severe Thunderstorm Warnings.  Central Indiana is under a slight chance of severe weather on Saturday.

More thunderstorms and showers may pop up this afternoon.  The greatest chance for widespread rain is after 7 p.m. tonight.  That is also when we have a slight risk for severe storms in the northwestern half of the state.  Highs today in the mid 90s with heat index values around 100 degrees.

If you are going to the Indiana State Fair today, keep an eye on the radar.

Another round of storms will move through the area and develop in the late evening hours.

Storm chances will linger until early Sunday morning.

The greatest threats will be damaging winds and heavy rain in isolated spots. There is also a small hail threat.
