INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - A slight risk of severe storms was issued across a large portion of Central Indiana for Tuesday afternoon.

A severe thunderstorm watch was issued for multiple counties west and south of Indianapolis Tuesday afternoon, as well. Click here for current weather alerts.

Thunderstorms will potentially produce large hail, lightning strong winds and heavy downpours.

Storms early Tuesday morning mainly fell apart as they moved south; mostly the northern half of the state picked up measurable rain.

The Forecast 8 Team will continue to track any storms or watches/warnings that develop. Check with the Forecast 8 Weather Blog for the latest.
