Storms with the potential to be severe were moving through the state Thursday afternoon and evening.
Much of the state is under a severe thunderstorm watch through midnight. Thunderstorm warnings were also issued as storms popped up.
The Storm Prediction Center has all of central Indiana under a slight risk for storms Thursday. The greatest threats will be from damaging wind and large hail, as well as an isolated tornado.
Torrential rain and frequent lightning will accompany these storms too. Once this system moves through, the area will dry out overnight. Cooler temperatures and less humidity will move in for Friday's forecast.
