KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) – A Syracuse man was arrested after officers found over $50,000 worth of stolen items in his home during an inspection for a possible parole violation Wednesday.
According to the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department, when officers arrived to inspect Ronald Charles Bohn’s home at 8772 E. Koher Road in Syracuse, they initially found a large amount of marijuana.
During a subsequent search, officers also allegedly found five stolen firearms, two safes and lock boxes, multiple electronics, various prescription medications, jewelry, collectable coins and artifacts.
Kosciusko County detectives said they believe those items recovered from Bohn’s home are related to several daytime burglaries that occurred in the past several months in the northern lakes area and have an estimated value of over $50,000.
Bohn was preliminarily charged with felony theft/possession of stolen items as well as felony possession of marijuana.
