SINGAPORE (CNN) - A new survey says Singapore will be home to the richest people in the world by 2050.

According to The Knight Frank and Citi Private Wealth Report, Asia will have the most countries in a list defining the world's wealthy citizens.

Singapore sits on top of the list, with a projected per capita income in 2050 of nearly $138,000 dollars a year. Hong Kong comes in second with about $117,000 a year, followed by Taiwan at $114,000.

Also included in the survey is an estimate that the average American will break the six-figure income barrier 38 years from now, predicting a per-capita income of almost $101,000, which makes it the highest-ranked Western country on the list.
