SAGINAW TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) — Officials say a deer jumped through the window of a Saginaw County consignment store, leaving behind broken glass and spattered blood.
Joel Johnston says he got a call early Monday from an alarm company that police were chasing the deer inside his Wears Like New store in Saginaw Township. MLive.com reports police caught the deer and fatally shot the animal outside because of its extensive injuries.
Authorities believe the deer may have been disoriented before jumping inside. The deer, however, didn't damage clothing that was on racks inside the store.
The store near Saginaw was expected to reopen Tuesday following cleanup.
