LA CRESCENTA, Calif. (CNN/KTLA) - A 400-pound black bear is back in the wild after roaming a Los Angeles-area neighborhood.
Tuesday morning, deputies and wildlife officials captured the bear using three tranquilizer darts, but not before the bear gave one man a huge scare.
In the video player included with this report, watch as a man walks out of his home texting, then takes off when he looks up and sees the bear.
He says he was texting his boss to let him know he was going to be late for work because of all the commotion outside.
The bear has since been released into the Angeles National Forest.
