SAN DIEGO (CNN) - SAN DIEGO (CNN) – Friday night's Michigan State/University of North Carolina basketball game was played in an unusual place -- on the deck of an aircraft carrier, the USS Carl Vinson.
This time lapse video shows how they transformed the flight deck into a basketball court.
The game is the first annual Carrier Classic for Veterans Day.
There was some concern about rain in a usually sunny San Diego, so officials built another court in the ship's hangar, just in case.
President and Mrs. Obama were in the stands.
Magic Johnson and James Worthy were named honorary captains.
