GASPARILLA ISLAND, Fla. (KXAN) - Big-game fishing got larger than life for one fisherman who posted a YouTube video of himself jumping into open water to revive the world's deadliest shark: the bull shark.
"Caught and released this shark by swimming because the shark was so exhausted I needed to give it a kick-start," read the video's post. "The fish was released perfectly, and the hook was removed! This is one of the larger bull sharks I've caught at Charlie's Reef."
Orion Wholean didn't seem to mind that he was swimming in open water with a 300-pound bull shark, the shark most likely to attack humans.
He caught it during a catch-and-release trip off Gasparilla Island in Florida.
And while he didn't do anything illegal, he's still getting some heat about his stunt.
Thousands of people in Indianapolis were without power early Thursday morning.
