I Love to Read Challenge

Welcome to the 2013 I Love to Read Challenge program. WISH-TV has provided this program to Central Indiana schools for the past 22 years to help give students an incentive to make a commitment in the New Year to enjoy the wonderful benefits that reading can bring. The program was originally developed in cooperation with the Indiana Department of Education.

Please click on the links to the left for more information and a registration form. If your school has not participated before, this is the 22nd annual challenge and the program has been a success for many central Indiana schools during that time.

The I Love to Read Challenge is open to students in grades 1-8 in both public and private accredited schools.  Grand prizes will be awarded by a random drawing from the list of students and classrooms who meet the challenge minutes requirement. All materials needed to implement the program will be mailed to the coordinator that is assigned by the school.

A special ceremony is conducted in April to award checks to the winning individuals and classroom winners.  The Governor and First Lady are invited and one or both have participated each year of the program.
