What is WISH Tree?

WISH-TV and the Salvation Army have partnered since 1997 to collect toys to be distributed to families in need during the holidays.  Again, the need is great this year.  Please join us and our WISH Tree partners in helping make this a happier holiday season for those families. 

 

When does WISH Tree take place?

WISH Tree kicks off Thursday, November 15 and continues through Friday, December 14, 2012.

 

How can I make a donation to WISH Tree?

There are several ways you can donate to this year's WISH Tree effort. Donations of new, unwrapped toys for kids ages infant to 14-years-old can be made at our sponsor locations:

WISH Tree Christmas at the Zoo Toy Collection - Friday, November 30

The WISH-TV and MyINDY-TV family will be collecting toys outside the Indianapolis Zoo during the annual Christmas at the Zoo on Friday, November 30, from 5-8 p.m. Each person who donates items that evening will receive a 15% discount at Zoo Gift Stores..

 

WISH Tree Butler Toy Collection - Saturday, December 1

The WISH-TV and MyINDY-TV 23 family will be collecting toys at Hinkle Fieldhouse before the Ball State/Butler game. New unwrapped toys and cash donations can be brought to the game from 12:30 p.m. until halftime and deposited with the WISH-TV and Salvation Army staffs located at the fieldhouse entrances.

 

WISH Tree Colts Toy Collection - Sunday, December 9

The WISH-TV and MyINDY-TV family will be collecting toys outside Lucas Stadium before the Colts game on Sunday, December 9. New unwrapped toys can be brought to the game that day and deposited with the WISH-TV and Salvation Army staffs located outside at all of the stadium entrances

 

Tweet for Toys - Thursday, December 13

New for 2012, WISH-TV will come to you to collect toys. On December 13, Randy Ollis and Lauren Lowrey will drive around around the Circle City picking up toys and donations.  All you have to do is Tweet us your location to @WISH_TV using the hashtag #WISHTree.  We will do our best to stop by and pick up your donations.   We will stream the entire event live on WISHTV.com.

 

Ugly Sweater Party @ Cadillac Ranch - Friday, December 21
