The Quilter’s Guild of Indianapolis will present its biennial quilt show on October 25 – 26, 2013 at Westfield Middle School. Hours are 10 a.m.- 5 p.m. on Friday October 25, and 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Saturday, October 26.
Over 375 quilts will be displayed, from bed quilts and baby quilts to wall hangings and wearable garments, in both traditional and contemporary designs and techniques.
The 2013 show theme is “All Around Town” and celebrates the many connections between quilting and our beautiful city. The special challenge competition “Quilting Around the Circle City” invites members to submit quilts that interpret metro Indianapolis area landmarks.
On Saturday, October 25, at 2:00 p.m. there will be an auction of small quilts created and donated by QGI members and national renowned quilters.
There is an $8.00 admission charge to the show. Children 12 and younger are free (no unaccompanied children, please).
The Quilter’s Guild of Indianapolis currently has over 385 members from across central Indiana and surrounding areas. All quilts entered in the show are made or owed by Guild members, and have not been displayed in a previous QGI show.
