Former NFL player criticized for Twitter photo with daughter’s prom date and gun

Former NFL kicker Jay Feely is now apologizing after he posted a controversial picture on Twitter Saturday.
The photo sparking backlash online showed him holding a gun while standing next to his daughter and her boyfriend.
The caption read, “Wishing my beautiful daughter and her date a great time at prom” with the hashtag “#Badboys”.
Twitter went wild after some users felt Feely’s post was inappropriate.
The football star then explained on Twitter his post was only a joke and that he, “…(takes) gun safety seriously… (and) did not intend to be insensitive to that important issue.”
