Peyton Manning hospital opens expansion

A ribbon-cutting Monday marked the opening of the expansion of the pediatric intensive care unit at Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital at St. Vincent.

The $2.2 million project expands the unit from 15 to 23 beds and was designed to increase its capability to provide high-quality, family-centered care to hundreds more children each year.

It was made possible thanks to gifts by former Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning and his wife, Ashley, along with proceeds from the Celebration of Caring Gala.
