BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (WISH) -- Indiana University officials say the person involved in their initial report of a man with a gun on campus has been taken into custody.
The university released the following update via Twitter: "The subject in this incident was located off campus and is in police custody. Resume normal activity on campus."
The initial alert, sent Sunday around 5:15 p.m. said that IUPD "received a second hand report of a male with a firearm intending to harm a specific subject."

IU Bloomington Alert! IUPD received a second hand report of a male with a firearm intending to harm a specific subject. Currently no description of the male. If you are on campus, trust your instincts and take safe shelter in the nearest available room. Lock the door if possible. Remain in place until the police or a campus administrator known to you gives the FINAL UPDATE. Call 9 1 1 if you have information about the armed person. If you are not on campus, stay away.
