Witnesses: Person shot in attempted robbery on near northeast side
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A person is in the hospital after being found shot in a car on the city’s near northeast side.
Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department were called to the 3000 block of Baltimore Avenue, near 30th Street and Keystone Avenue, around 9:15 p.m. Monday on a report of a person shot.
Witnesses told police the person was shot during an attempted robbery, according to IMPD Capt. Karen Arnett at the scene.
The shooting victim suffered a single gunshot wound and was stable at an area hospital, Arnett said.
Investigators were interviewing witnesses on Monday night.
