BOONE COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) - The Boone County Sheriff's Office says they have been contacted by a private donor offering a $10,000 reward to anyone with information that could lead to the arrest in a nearly 5-month-old fatal hit-and-run case.
Authorities continue to look for information in the deadly November hit-and-run that claimed the life of 78-year-old Anita Wernsing.
Wernsing was walking home from church when she was struck and killed. The driver left the scene.
Through public tips, investigators have identified two of the three vehicles that were seen prior to the accident. They are still looking for a dark colored SUV that was seen turning westbound on CR 700 S right after the crash, according to a release.
