LOGANSPORT, Ind. (Pharos-Tribune) - A man who was attacked following a 2011 accident was arrested this week, more than a year after the crash.
Lucas Wilkerson was arrested on a warrant of four charges stemming from the Dec. 2011 accident, when he reportedly caused a semi to run off the road, 24-Hour News 8's news partner The Pharos-Tribune reports.
After the crash, the driver of the semi attacked Wilkerson, and pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct.
According to a police report, a witness recorded the accident and saw Wilkerson try to pass four semis and another car in a no pass zone. The semi driver almost hit him head on, which caused him to roll off the roadway.
He reached speeds of 96 mph.
Wilkerson turned himself in this week.
The Boone County Sheriff's Office says a crash closed State Road 39 on Friday morning.
A family of five was uninjured after a house fire on the city's east side early Friday morning.
