MUNCIE, Ind. (AP) - Police in Muncie have arrested a man accused of raping and strangling a Ball State University student.
23-year-old Aaron Jeffery King II of Carmel was being held Friday in Delaware County Jail on $60,000 bond.
He was arrested Thursday on preliminary charges of rape, criminal confinement, criminal deviant conduct and strangulation. A jail officer didn't know if he had an attorney.
The woman was hospitalized in Muncie following the alleged attack Wednesday.
She told investigators King refused to let her leave after he came to visit her in her apartment and forced her to engage in various sex acts. She also says she resisted, but he duct-taped her face and hands.
Police arrested King Thursday at a motel in the Indianapolis enclave of Beech Grove.
