INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - A robbery at the Indianapolis Heliport was interrupted Wednesday morning when a Deputy Sheriff in the area responded.
Medics at IU Health Lifeline Helicopter base saw a man beating and robbing another male subject in the parking lot of the heliport, according to a release.
Police were called.
In the meantime, a Marion County Sheriff's Office Deputy Sheriff was in the parking lot already.
The Deputy arrested the suspected robber and the victim was taken to Wishard Memorial Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
Tonnie T. Hoskins, 42, was arrested and faces preliminary charges of attempted strong armed robbery with injury, a Class B felony, disorderly conduct at an airport facility, a Class D felony, and battery with bodily injury, a Class A misdemeanor.
He was taken to the Sheriff's Arrestee Processing Center and is awaiting formal charges.
