Indianapolis (WISH) - Late Wednesday afternoon the man accused of hitting and killing another man on the east side this weekend apologized for what happened.
On Tuesday IMPD officers arrested Michael Anderson for the hit and run that killed 52 year-old Earmon "Bud" Hubbard on Saturday .
Anderson has a history of traffic violations and license suspensions.
Anderson talked to 24-Hour News 8 at the Marion County Jail. He was escorted from his cell to an interview room, where he made a statement. Anderson wouldn't answer any questions, but issued a statement saying he was sorry.
"As far as the victim family; I want to send them my deepest, deepest regards of sympathy and let them know I'm praying (for) them and praying for their family and their loss, and I'm also praying for myself," Anderson said.
Police said an anonymous tip to 911 led them to Anderson's vehicle.
