LAFAYETTE (WISH) - A Lafayette man was arrested Monday on drug and firearm charges.
According to a Lafayette Police Department release, Antonio Tutson, 28, was arrested on a warrant for dealing cocaine, a Class A felony, possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana, being a felon in possession of a firearm and resisting law enforcement.
At 7:30 p.m., detectives with the Tippecanoe County Drug Task Force went to the 2800 block of Medford Street to serve an arrest warrant, which stemmed from a two month investigation. During the investigation, Tutson sold crack cocaine to an undercover detective on three occasions between December and January, the release said.
When officers arrived at the home, Tutson fled on foot spanning several blocks before he was apprehended. Through a search warrant, officers found a handgun, small quantities of crack cocaine, marijuana and a Tech 9 semi-automatic weapon and ammunition.
Tutson was taken to the Tippecanoe County jail.
