AMBOY, Ind. (WISH) - An Amboy man was arrested for setting fire to his parents' house and says the voices made him do it.
24-Hour News 8 news partner The Kokomo Tribune reports Isaac Thomas, 19, was charged with arson last week and said he placed a can of gasoline in the kitchen and lit a fire because he believed his parents were practicing witchcraft on him, court documents said.
The parents were able to escape unharmed. Thomas pulled up to the house and admitted to his mother that he set the fires and then fled the scene. He showed up at the house again and was arrested.
He told police that he didn't want to hurt his parents, just burn the house down because he was mad at them.
