LINTON, Ind. (WISH) - Two Greene County men are behind bars for the murder of a missing teen. Randy Crosley and Jordan Buskirk both face a preliminary charge of murder.
Police told the victim's family members they do not think the murder was intentional.
Police say 19-year-old Katelyn Wolfe left her home in Linton last Wednesday night and never returned.
Officers found her body last night in a remote area of the Greene Sullivan Forest.
"(Police) told us they had found the body, they were 98 percent positive it was her," said Laura Wolfe, step mother to Katelyn.
The Wolfes think Katelyn went out Wednesday night with Crosley and Buskirk. The three had spent time together that same day.
The Wolfes say the last text Katelyn sent was to Randy Crosley, and in Katelyn's last Facebook post, Katelyn talked about "looking to have some fun and she said she was going to go with these creeps who kept driving by" said Laura Wolfe.
Laura Wolfe says Katelyn may have been using humor when describing her friends as creeps.
"She would never go with anybody she did't know. She was never one to go with a stranger," said Laura Wolfe. "Something went wrong. Something happened and they got scared and dropped her off somewhere."
"I feel terrible about it. They did the wrong thing, if they had done the right thing she would still be alive," said Eric Wolfe, Katelyn's father.
Wolfe wants to share a simple message with parents and teens- that message is to stay in constant touch with one another.
An autopsy may help better explain what happened to his daughter. The family expects to get those results by Wednesday.
