INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Police say one person has died after a shooting on the city's near northeast side late Saturday night.
Officers were called to the 4400 block of North Sheridan Avenue shortly after 11 p.m. to the report of a person shot. This is in the area of East 46th Street and North Arlington Avenue.
A male victim was found suffering from at least one gunshot wound to his lower body according to an Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department release.
EMS transported him to IU Methodist Hospital in critical condition. The victim later died from his injuries.
IMPD has not released information on any suspects or what led to the shooting.
The victim will not be identified until his next-of-kin have been notified.
Most of the state is under a winter storm warning until Saturday.
