MADISON COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) - Officers from the Anderson Police Department and the Madison County Sheriff's Department were looking for a suspect Sunday and asked that residents stay alert.
The search was underway Sunday evening in the area of Garnet Drive and Hartman Road from 100 W to 200 W.
According to Madison County Sheriff Ron Richardson, the search was in reference to an armed robbery and a pursuit.
Authorities are asking all residents stay alert and report any suspicious individual to 911.
Richardson says authorities are looking for a male wearing a red shirt. K-9 units were searching the area and a helicopter was scheduled to respond as well.
The man hunt was called off late Sunday night as it was getting dark.
The incident will remain under investigation by the Anderson Police Department.
