INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - A juvenile was arrested Thursday afternoon after police had suspended a chase of a stolen car and the driver crashed into a garage, police and fire officials said.
The incident happened around 1:20 p.m. in the 1800 block of North Warman Avenue, near 16th Street and Lafayette Road.
Indianapolis Fire Department officials said police officers were pursuing a stolen Chevrolet Cavalier but officers stopped the pursuit when the suspect drove onto an icy road. Fire officials said the juvenile didn't realize the pursuit had ended and continued speeding — losing control and crashing.
A garage and Dodge Minivan were both damaged in the incident. Police officials said the juvenile was arrested.
